Engine Assembly/Engine Bay Prep

Remember how I said I would update this blog more often? Yeah, I dont remember either. I finally pulled the trigger on ordering the final chunk of parts needed to get the car on the road. Doesnt seem like much, but it add's up right quick. Consisting of the following..

DIF clutch line
DIF turbo oil/coolant lines
Spec Stage 4 6puck clutch
Wiring Specialties s14 sr20det to s13 240 conversion harness
Wiring Specialties transmission harness
Brian Crower adjustable cam gears (to get rid of VTC)
Megan Racing light weight pullies
OEM timing chain kit, accessory belts, AND OEM filter ;)
ARP 2000 headstuds

Thats where I left off till I get the timing chain and cam gears in. So in the mean time its time for engine bay prep. Started off by removing useless brackets and random shit bolted in the engine bay, like this plate for the intercooler piping.

Always wanted to know what was underneath...oh jolly...

Also took the liberty of trimming seam sealer. I realised that this is a stupid method and will be using a grinder/wirewheel to remove the rest tonight, will post pictures of the progress ASAP

  3. Jenya, the engine bay will be painted that blue, and possibly the whole car.
